Life Care Centers of America honored Michelle Fraternali, executive director at Life Care Center of Littleton, Colorado, with one of two President’s Awards for its Mountain States Division on Aug. 14, 2017.
The President’s Award recognizes distinguished service in a long-term health care management role. The Mountain States Division includes 30 skilled nursing and rehab facilities in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Hawaii.
Fraternali runs monthly leadership trainings to help her team stay sharp and engaged. Under her leadership, Life Care Center of Littleton achieved a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in 2016 and has maintained it in 2017. Turnover has also decreased.
“Michelle is a caring, devoted executive director to all associates, residents and families,” said Beth Williams, vice president of Life Care’s Rocky Mountain Region. “She is involved in everything from operations to activities on a daily basis. It is not an uncommon thing to see Michelle serving dinner on a Saturday.”
“Michelle Fraternali has demonstrated professional skill and compassion in dispatching her responsibilities to the associates, residents and families she serves,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. “She has uniquely demonstrated a leadership style for others to emulate. This is a distinguished award to receive because it goes to the heart of our mission.”
Fifteen President’s Awards are presented annually to leaders of overall successful facilities or organizations within Life Care.
